Celestial

Place moons, planets, or other celestial bodies directly in the viewport for quick sky composition. For full controls and presets, see Celestial Bodies.

Where to Find It

  • Open the Scene Builder tool.
  • Select the Celestial tab in Tool Settings.

Placement Shortcuts

  • LMB drag: place the active celestial body.
  • Shift + LMB: add a new celestial body (uses the current preset).
  • Alt + Scroll: cycle celestial bodies.

Body Gizmos

Celestial body gizmo summary

  • Outer ring: drag to scale the apparent size of the body.
  • Brightness arrow: drag up or down to change brightness.
  • Distance arrow: drag to move the body closer or farther.

Tip

Press Esc or the right mouse button (RMB) to cancel a drag and restore the previous value.

  • Body Gizmos: show size, brightness, and distance handles for the active body.
  • Help Display: show the floating Tool Shortcuts panel.
