Where to Find It

  • Open the TrueSKY panel -> Effects.
  • Scroll to Global Effects and open Grain.
  • Use the Enable toggle in the panel header to turn it on or off.

Panel Layout

  • Mode Buttons: Monochrome or Color.
  • Opacity: Blend amount.
  • Factor: Intensity of the grain texture.
  • Animated: Per-frame randomization.
  • Size: Grain scale.

Controls

Modes

  • Monochrome: Black and white grain (classic film).
  • Color: RGB grain (vintage color film or video noise).

Settings

  • Opacity: Blends the effect with the original image.
  • Factor: Intensity of grain texture.
  • Animated: Toggles per-frame randomization (static vs moving grain).
  • Size: Scale of grain particles (larger = coarser, smaller = finer).

Tips / Workflows

Typical Use

Keep Factor low for subtle filmic break-up. Use Monochrome for a classic look, and enable Animated only for motion renders.
