Ghosts
Ghosts create overlapping duplicates of bright sources, mimicking internal lens reflections. Use them for realism or surreal optical artifacts.
Where to Find It
- Open the TrueSKY panel -> Effects.
- In Layer Stack, click + and choose Ghosts.
- Select the layer to edit its settings.
Panel Layout
- Opacity: Master blend for the layer.
- General Settings: Strength, saturation, tint, and threshold.
- Distortion: Warping and dispersion options.
- Ghosting: Iterations and shape distortion.
- Streaks: Optional streak layers for extra flare.
Controls
General Settings
- Opacity: Blends the effect with the original image.
- Strength: Overall ghost intensity.
- Saturation: Color intensity of ghosts.
- Color Tint: Hue shift for ghosts.
- Light Threshold: Brightness cutoff for ghost generation.
- Threshold Multiplier: Scales the threshold.
Distortion
- Amount: Intensity of ghost distortion.
- Fit: Aspect correction toggle.
- Dispersion Amount: Chromatic-like separation in ghosts.
Ghosting
- Iterations: Number of ghost reflections.
- Modulation: Varies ghost brightness and color per iteration.
- Stretch X / Stretch Y: Distorts ghost shapes horizontally or vertically.
Streaks
- Threshold: Brightness for streak generation.
- Iterations: Number of streak layers.
- Streak Modulation: Variation per iteration.
- Blur X / Blur Y: Softens streaks along each axis.
- Shape
- Streaks: Count of directional streaks.
- Angle: Rotation of the streak pattern.
- Fade: Falloff toward edges.
Tips / Workflows
Typical Use
For realism keep Iterations low and Distortion Amount subtle. Increase Stretch for stylized anamorphic feel, and enable Streaks sparingly to avoid clutter.
